The Winds of Change in Hairland

If you've been around BIH long enough, you might remember more than a year ago my blog disappeared off the face of the earth for a day.  Vanished. Gone. No Where to be Found. Because my g-mail had been hacked into, Blogger thought I was a robot and because Google/Blogger is what/who it is, they shut.me.down.  Not cool.  Not cool at all.  It was a nightmare.  Thankfully, against all odds, I got my blog back & the years of work I put into it were not gone the way I know so many other blogs have gone & never returned. 

Since then, I've had in the works this "grand-ee-ohhhs" plan of a new and better site that was mine - all mine.  And couldn't be yanked based upon some random error in cyber space.  

Well ... that idea/dream is about to become a reality.  If you've been wondering why posts have maybe been a little slower, or I've been a bit less than present ... it's because over the past countless months I've been doing this:

What's that you ask?  What I mean is I've been spending every waking minute and then some, moving my blog from Blogger to WordPress.  It has been a tedious process, but thanks to my extremely talented & fabulous "Web Designing Wizard", we are almost there.  I will no longer be living in fear of all my hard work vanishing off the face of the web - I will own my content and be enjoying this:

But what does that mean to you?

* Babes in Hairland will still be found here at BabesInHairland.com

* You will still get fabulous & amazing hair tutorials 

* It means a fantastic new & improved design where you can access all my hairstyles easily and quickly.  

* It means a new look and logo.  If you've seen our new cover on Facebook, that is a sneak peek at our new design!

* It also means you may have to change how you get our updates ...

Supposedly Google Friend connect (aka our Hair Obsessed Club) will not work on WordPress sites, so if you normally get our updates through your Dashboard or Google Reader, we may not show up in your feed, so this cute widget will no longer appear on our site.

I know there are some WP sites that I still get their feed on my dashboard, and I'm experimenting with that a bit, but for now, I'm just going to assume you won't know when we post a new hairstyle if you are a "follower" via Google Friend Connect.

So - we don't want to loose you in this transition ...

Here is what you can do:

** First, you can subscribe to Babes In Hairland by using an RSS feed.  

** Once the site is moved over you'll be able to subscribe via e-mail & our updates will come right to your e-mail!

** We're on Facebook and you can follow us there ... our page is over HERE

** You can stalk us on Pinterest HERE

Hopefully one of those works for you.  Let me know if you have any questions.  But I just wanted to give you a heads up that if things appear different or seem a bit wonky over the next week or so, the "winds of change are blowing hard" and we're working to transition everything over to our new, improved & FABULOUS site!
